Nine months of planning for an exceptional transport of 189 km in total on public road.
It was a 420 ton carbamate condenser, which left last December 20 from Terno d’Isola (province of Bergamo) where the company that built it is based, FBM Hudson Italiana, to reach the river port of Mantova to be embarked on a barge and reach the port of Marghera from where it will be shipped to its final destination in Asia.

Approximately 25 people, including technicians, staff and operational staff, were to complete one of the largest exceptional transports ever carried out on Italian roads.
The configuration of the convoy consisted of 2 self-propelled SPMTs each with 20 axles and supported by an 8×6 ballasted tractor installed if necessary to increase the speed of the convoy in the uphill sections, for a total length of about 75 meters and a total weight of about 600 tons. It was a self-supporting device weighing 420 tons loaded on rotating fifth wheel couplings with a capacity of 300 tons each.
An exceptional transport completed thanks to the preparation of all Marraffa men and thanks to a careful design work by the technical department.
